Description

Orgonite is a material made of resin, metals and quartz that balances and harmonizes bioenergy, also known as orgone, chi or prana. Orgone is the light, universal energy that is present in everything, it is what stops decay and creates healing.

Dr. Wilhelm Reich, an Austrian psychiatrist who researched orgonic energy in the early half of the 20th century. During his research, Dr. Reich found that organic materials attract and hold orgonic energy, while non-organic metals simultaneously attract and repel the energy. Orgonite is based on these two principles.

It is a 50-50 mix of resin (organic, due to the fact that it is petrochemical based) and metal shavings (inorganic). Inside the orgonite matrix there is also a quartz crystal. Energy that is out of balance is absorbed into the orgonite by the metal-resin mix and brought back to a healthy, vibrant state by the embedded crystal.

Meaning OM

Om or Aum is a sacred sound and spiritual symbol in Indian religions. It means the essence of ultimate reality, consciousness or Atman. More broadly, it is a syllable that is chanted either independently or before a spiritual recitation in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. The meaning and connotations of Om vary between the different schools within and across the different traditions. It is part of the iconography found in ancient and medieval manuscripts, temples, monasteries and spiritual retreats in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.

In Hinduism, Om is one of the most important spiritual symbols. It refers to Atman (soul, self in itself) and Brahman (ultimate reality, wholeness of the universe, truth, divine, supreme spirit, cosmic principles, knowledge). The syllable is often found at the beginning and end of chapters in the Vedas, the Upanishads and other Hindu texts. It is a sacred spiritual incantation made before and during the recitation of spiritual texts, during puja and private prayers, in ceremonies of rites of passage (sanskara) such as weddings, and sometimes during meditative and spiritual activities such as yoga.
